It is possible to feed the {{ast_dsp_process()}} routine slin frames of different sampling rates than what the DSP was setup to handle.  This is mainly concerning the SIP/PJSIP channel drivers where slin16 could be negotiated but the DSP is only ever setup for 8K samples/second fax detection.
