Unfortunately, the timeline for bug-fixes against the 12.x version of Asterisk has ended, see:
https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Asterisk+Versions

Asterisk 12 is currently in a state where it only receives security-related fixes.

An alternative for you would be to see if the problem still affects you with the current version of Asterisk 13.  As of this comment, that's 13.3.2.
