I'd really rather not bundle general improvements to {{res_http_websocket}} - which are subject to a lot of debate - with the actual bug fix for this memory corruption. If you'd like to split that up into two patches, that'd be fine.

Were additional changes necessary to the patch I posted to fix the actual memory corruption?
