Matt Jordan commented on ASTERISK-23181:
----------------------------------------

# The backtrace you attached is missing a lot of the symbols - which isn't surprising, since it was installed from the packages, which doesn't contain the debug symbols. Can you generate a backtrace from the source RPM or from the source tarball, with DONT_OPTIMIZE and BETTER_BACKTRACES enabled? See [https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Getting+a+Backtrace] for more information.
# Since this seems to only be happening with Bria, a pcap showing the message traffic (both SIP and RTP) would be helpful.

> Asterisk core dumps when hitting hold button on Counterpath Bria softphone when dialing into a multicast page.
> dialplan:
> exten => 2000,1,Answer
> exten => 2000,n,Dial(MulticastRTP/basic/234.2.1.1:2000)
> exten => 2000,n,Hangup
> Bria 3.0.1.67541 (current from Android Marketplace)
> I have't seen this happen with any other sip phone/softphone. It is re-produceable every time. If the hold button is not pressed, the page works as expected.
