We can't reproduce this in a recent distro version that is currently supported by their maintainers. I'm going to close this out as Cannot Reproduce. If you can provide a patch that doesn't affect newer versions we might consider it for inclusion. You can always bring up the issue in #asterisk-bugs channel on IRC with a bug marshal.
