Multiple issues have arisen due to the fact that channels are imparted into Stasis bridges as departable rather than independent. Several spot-fixes have been proposed and added, but in general, these feel more like hacks and band-aids than permanent fixes.

A better idea would be to modify the Stasis application not to require that channels be imparted into bridges as departable. This would allow for many of the mini-fixes to be removed in favor of allowing for the bridging system to perform the correct behavior automatically.
