I'm only able to view the archived log files but not grep them to remove large parts of the trace which are of no concern.  They are not encoded as plain text files.

The {{layer1_presence}} and {{layer2_persistence}} options are valid *only* for BRI *PTMP* mode not PTP mode.  In PTP mode, layer 2 always tries to stay up.
