Christopher updated ASTERISK-21806:
-----------------------------------

    Attachment: sip-2013-07-03--19-57-00.pcap
                backtrace-0703-1958.txt

Backtrace of system after crash... running on the latest SVN snapshot.. it doesnt seem to go into a deadlock state.. asterisk compiled with malloc_debug, debug_threads, Better_backtraces, dont_optimize options set.. it may often core dump 6 or 7 times before getting itself straight.. meaning if it core dumps once it will core dump right away after safe_asterisk starts it.. this was a single core dump.. and then safe_asterisk restarted it as normal.. the end of the .pcap file is where the crash occured.. it is a port 5060 capture of the NIC asterisk is bound to. plugging the gateway in does not cause a crash instantly.. the crash occurs some hours or a day or so later.. currently there are 2 of these gateways along with a polycom phone and a couple aastra phones running.. the gateways are 192.168.10.202 and 192.168.10.247.
Connected to Asterisk SVN-branch-1.8-r391778 currently running on Maxx-home-ssd (pid = 16460)
Verbosity is at least 10

> Segfault occurs whether system is idle or is in-use. it will crash within a day or two even if 0 calls are made on it. running under safe_asterisk, results in multiple crashes within a few minutes until eventually system ends up in a MUTEX lock. over 3 gigs of RAM available and plenty of disk space at time of first crash. Possibly related to the 96 port gateway producing 96 SIP registrations all at once?
