On "make install" of newly compiled Asterisk, install attempts to get extra sounds for various codecs as requested in the "make menuselect" process. tar.gz downloads for codecs are fine until g722, when the download stops halfway through and does not resume promptly.

I repeated this several times and behaviour was the same each time.

To allow the install process to continue I deleted the partly downloaded tar.gz from the sounds directory and removed the request from the menuselect process.
