Rusty Newton commented on ASTERISK-23004:
-----------------------------------------

Changes to pjsip.conf.sample up on https://reviewboard.asterisk.org/r/3086/

Also, added a new wiki page at https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Configuring+res_pjsip+to+work+through+NAT.

I think both the conf and wiki could use more work and detail for NAT. I'll try to go back later on and make it better, but any help is very welcome!

> Today, the only documentation for how to set up a PJSIP endpoint behind a NAT is in the pjsip.conf.sample file:
> {noformat}
> ; UDP transport behind NAT
> ;
> ;[transport-udp-nat]
> ;type=transport
> ;protocol=udp
> ;bind=0.0.0.0
> ;localnet=192.0.2.0/24
> ;external_media_address=203.0.113.1
> ;external_signaling_address=203.0.113.1
> {noformat}
> And that's about it.
> Since many endpoints will be behind a NAT, we should have a sample endpoint that shows the in total, both in the sample config file as well as on the Asterisk wiki.
