Asterisk does not support .invalid IPv6 unspecified address
-----------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: ASTERISK-20498
                 URL: https://issues.asterisk.org/jira/browse/ASTERISK-20498
             Project: Asterisk
          Issue Type: Bug
      Security Level: None
          Components: Channels/chan_sip/General, Channels/chan_sip/IPv6
    Affects Versions: 1.8.15.1
         Environment: redhat-release:
Fedora Core release 6 (Zod)

uname -a
Linux labpbx1 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 #1 SMP Mon Oct 16 14:54:20 EDT 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
            Reporter: William Ye

For IPv6, when c line in INVITE SDP contains the .invalid unspecified IPv6 address (http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6157#section-4.1), Asterisk is not able to handle it (returns 488).

The .invalid unspecified address is used in various 3rd party call control scenarios (hold, xfer, etc.)

Looks like the address is fed into getaddrinfo() directly and thus can not be resolved.
