A discussion occurred about this on the asterisk-dev IRC channel. It's policy for only bug fixes to be applied to release branches unless unavoidable. If there's a legitimate problem in 10 and 11 that can be isolated and fixed by backporting part of the trunk changes, I've told Pedro that's fine.
