As an FYI, we are experiencing this bug under 1.6.2.16.1, and actively
looking for a solution as well.  We put about 15,000 calls/hour on each of
our servers, so we burn through UDP fast under this version.  Running
1.4.26.3 does not exhibit the behavior.
