Summary:                    Asterisk hangs with no calls being able to go in or
out, and the console does not respond to commands
Description: 
I'm not sure if we are seeing one or two different issues.

We've had stability issues with all versions of 1.8 we've tried. Those
include 1.8rc2, 1.8 final,a trunk checkout some weeks after 1.8 final and
latest 1.8.2rc1 all had the same issue or similar issues (They all
froze/crashed)

So far i do not have any type of debug information to show, but im
counting on being able to get some next time it happens. It's so far
happened about once every 6-9 days, and strangely enough it typically
doesnt happen for over a week and then happens 2-3 times on the same day.

I'm not dead so I thought i'd post an update.

Luckily our installation have been crash free for 2 weeks now. I do
suspect the fact that there have been a ton of holidays etc, meaning alot
less activity is a factor. So if everything goes as expected, im guessing
asterisk mgiht crash late this week early next week. But we will see.

I will try to switch to the dahdi timer if it does crash.

Unfortunately i can not get res_timing_timerfd to work with any debian
kernels, and i only use debian kernels, i do not compile them myself, so i
dont see how I can do anything about that unfortunately.

But anyway i will report back as soon as i see the crash again, if i see
it again ;-)
