Summary: when using GUI add user mailbox field in users.conf
doesnt show a value for sip show peer XXXX
Description:
hi

i was using asterisk 1.6.2.11 and asterisk GUI from branches/2.0
when i create a SIP user and the user details are added to users.conf i
wasnt getting any MWI for voicemails left on the extension.
when i do a sip show peer 6001 the mailbox vaule is blank.
i upgraded asterisk to version 1.6.2.16.1 , but the same issue happens.
i cut and pasted the entry for exten 6001 to sip.conf and reloaded sip and
when is did a sip show peer 6001 the mailbox value shows as mailbox=6001.

I had the exact same problem, solved by removing hasvoicemail = yes in
[general] section of users.conf ( I actually removed all has_something
references in the general section, but only removing hasvoicemail was
enough )
Hope it will help
