Summary: Translation of Asterisk voices to the Basque
language?
Description:
 Dear Sir or Madam,

Through this letter we would like to introduce ourselves and let you
know an idea which has come across our minds. We are a group of
students who are studying a bachelor on Computer Engineering
Management at Deusto Univeristy in San Sebastian (Spain).

At the moment we are working on our final project which mainly
consists on translating the different voices in Asterisk to the Basque
language. We have considered doing this translation because it has not
been done before and because it might be valuable for the Basque
 enterprises.

We have already translated and recorded the voices in Asterisk to the
Basque language, with the correct formats and features. We would like
 to upload our work to
http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telephony/sounds/ and that is why we
require your help in order to know which are the steps we have to
 follow to do that.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

 Yours faithfully,

Mikel Arribillaga, Jon Echezortu and Maria Epelde

Thanks for your reply.

We have followed the steps of the Soundfiles Submission Process.

The voices have been recorded by two of us, a male voice and a female
voice. The translation of those voices have been supervised by professional
translators.

We would also be ready to translate more voices in Basque if necessary in
the future.
