Summary: Modules built from asterisk16 SRPM report
incompatibility with binary Asterisk
Description:
When I download the SRPM of asterisk16 and compile new modules with it,
then install those modules by copying them into the Asterisk modules
directory, Asterisk 1.6 installed from the binary RPM provided by
AsteriskNOW refuses to load the new modules, reporting that the
compile-time options used for these modules aren't the same ones used for
Asterisk itself.

Shouldn't the SRPM set the same compile-time options as were used to build
the binary RPM distributed as part of AsteriskNOW?

Thanks!

You'd need to rebuild (and replace) the entire package to make things work
properly. There's nothing special in the way we build these SRPMs for
AsteriskNOW.
