Summary:                    Asterisk GUI Checking write permission for GUI
folder and detecting hardware
Description: 
Hi

I installed Asterisk 1.6 and Asterisk GUI fresh today. I used Yum
installation to do so.

I noticed that Asterisk GUI is displays "Checking write permission for GUI
folder for more than 5 minutes" and then displays "detecting hardware for
more than 10 mintues". After 15 min we get the home page of Asterisk GUI".

I never faced this issue when i installed Asterisk GUI a mont back on
another machine which is still working fast than new version.

Please assist.

Note: My friend is facing this problem when he installed Asterisk 1.6
update two days back through Linux automatic update.

tzafir: I used your Asterisk 1.6.2.2-1 package, and your asterisk-gui work
in Debian pkg-voip (but updated with version 5002 of the gui).

Without my workaround, it takes about 5-15 minutes to login. With my
workaround it works perfectly.

I haven't tried with 1.6.2.3-rc2, I'm waiting for something that is not
-rc.

BTW... The Asterisk versioning is pretty mad, and it's impossible to find
exactly what is changed between versions. The -rc2 changelog only states
differences between -rc2 and -rc1, but I can't find the -rc1 anywhere. And
the unified diff between 1.6.2.3-rc2 and 1.6.2.2 is 73202 lines...
