Summary:                    After the AsteriskNOW 1.7.0 yum update chan_sip and
pbx_config could not initialize
Description: 
Applied AsteriskNow 1.7.0 via yum update. Updated modules in FreePBX as
instructed.

Asterisk is not functional as the dialplan and the SIP configuration fail
to load.

Running Asterisk as root "asterisk -G root -U root" fixes all problems.

Apparently the update script assigned incorrect permissions in my case.

If somebody is interested in debugging the script I am ready to help. 
Unfortunately it is my only box, no "test" box.  I need to find a solution
fast.
