Summary:                    Background application does not return until file is
finished being played (Asterisk 1.6.0.10)
Description: 
Using Asterisk version 1.6.0.10 in a Trixbox CE installation, the
Background application does not return until the audio file is finished
playing. This does not happen in my Asterisk 1.4.26 server. If I call my
1.4.26 server, the Background app will play, and if I hang up, it will
detect it and return control to the dialplan immediately. The 1.6.0.10
server will not detect my hangup, and will continue playing the file.
However, pressing any digit will immediately cause the application to
return as it should. The pressing issue for me is that until the background
application returns after the hangup, the channel is still busy and cannot
be used.

Please reproduce this on a vanilla version of Asterisk, utilizing a current
version -- 1.6.0.10 is quite old, and we cannot support Trixbox
installations here in case there are non-vanilla changes to the source.

If you can reproduce on a vanilla version of Asterisk with the latest
version, then please open a new issue.
