Summary: Asterisk crashes with app_fax / spandsp when
compiled in 64 bit
Description:
Asterisk crashes with glibc detected double free or corruption error while
receiving a fax using ReceiveFAX and spandsp 0.0.5. Compiled on 64 bit

As per http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=175050, I tried:
 export MALLOC_CHECK_=0

before running asterisk which appeared to correct the issue.
