I have created a step by step of how I got asterisk 1.6.0.26 working with
spandsp for incoming faxes to be detected by asterisk with faxdetect with
dahdi and forwarding the fax to email.

This needs to be formatted better. I'd suggest looking at the files:

You'll see a common theme in the formatting. You should try and keep your
lines to 80 chars were at all possible (i.e. non-code lines).

You can break the rule where it would make the formatting ugly, such as on
long lines of code that can't be broken up.
