Summary: Broken audio with g.722 if jitterbuffer is used.
Description:
If an IAX trunk is used, the jitterbuffer is enabled and g.722 codec is
used, the voice is broken. If the jitterbuffer is disabled, g.722 is
working.

To have g.722 support with Asterisk 1.4.25, I used the known patch. In
addition, I fixed the patch and backported the Asterisk 1.6 g.722 gain fix
into it.

Since Asterisk 1.4 does not officially support G.722, this is not something
we will fix.

However, if you have this problem in Asterisk 1.6, please let us know.
