Summary: Phone init problem solved with backport.
Description:
Back ported trunk of addons with no major issues and it is working well.
Would it be worth supplying a diff for others that may have the same
problems with the 1.6.2 addons? Is it even permitted to supply backport
diffs? Could I even supply the modified source code?
Thanks Brett.

Brett,
The GPL under which Matthew et. al. have licensed chan_mobile.c explicitly
grants you the right to distribute modified versions of the code.
I don't see anything barring such action in the "Issue Tracker Guidelines"
[0] either, not even in the "Contributor License Agreement" section.
I think I'm having the same trouble that you reported in bug 0015549
[1]...
Would you mind uploading your backport patch or the "final product"?
Thanks!
-Tyler
