Summary:                    Endless loop
Description: 
Asterisk GUI does not work in combination with clean install current SVN
version 1.6.1 (SVN 224770)+addons on debian lenny.

when first installing asterisk 1.6.0svn+addons+gui and then installing
1.6.1 the problem does not accure

Please open the asterisk cli (asterisk -r) and see if any error is
reported.

I think i had the same issue and a "touch /etc/asterisk/zaptel.conf" fixed
the issue for me iirc.
