Description: 
For those of us building Asterisk against uClibc, we don't have iconv() in
the earlier releases.

This causes compilation to break without the attached fix.

Confirmed.

There was another issue that was stopping trunk from building in Astlinux
(I posted the fix a little while ago to asterisk-bugs and am using it
locally).

Trunk (and 1.6) both seem to build properly now.
