going back to 2.1.0.4 and the problem is gone.
this issue was reported by alecdavid in 0015498 and it is NOT fixed and
should not have been merged into 2.2.0.2.

just for the record as well:
something has defiantly changed between 2.1.0.4 and 2.2.0.2 when dealing
with E1 trunks.
the only way i can run a stable system with 2.2.0.2 is to remove the VPM
Module.and rely on SW EC to do the job.
kernel log has nothing special, i changed hardware as well. no
improvement.
