Hi all,

I'm sending you patch containing new application app_faxgateway.c
("FaxGateway") which is able to mediate T30 to T38 and vice versa.
Feature is using spands library (I used spandsp-0.0.4pre18 and
spandsp-0.0.5pre4).

Hello guys,
i'm hardly trying to use this patch to solve my fax problems at all.
Unfortunatly i got some problems.
I'd like to explain my situation step by step so you can help me and
telling me if i'm working in the correct way.

This is my scenario

E1/Pri --> (gw)Asterisk 1.6.0.6 --sip/t30 g711--> (1)Asterisk 1.4.20.1
FaxGateway(Sip/asterisk(2)/${EXTEN}) --sip/t38--> (2)Asterisk 1.4.20.1
FaxGateway(Zap/1) --t30--> Fax machine

asterisk (1) and (2)
--------------------
asterisk-1.4.20.1
asterisk-1.4.20.1_t38_v4.2.diff
spandsp-0.0.4

asterisk (gw) and (1) are on the same switch

The problem is that fax doesn't receive documents. Sometimes the machine
says "Operation complete" but it doesn't print nothing and other times it
says "Incomplete document".
In the terminals on both the asterisk machines (asterisk(1)and(2)) i can
see the t38 transaction but at the end the result is not the one i expect.

So i ask you the first question: is this use of the FaxGateway application
correct?

If yes, what you need to understand and debug this situation?
