Hi,

I have compiled various versions of Dahdi Linux and asterisk (1.4 and
1.6), and even Digium support has compiled the latest Dahdi-SVN &
Asterisk-1.4-svn, to no avail. Dmesg shows happily the drivers loaded and
the transcoder also ready, however asterisk does not seem to agree.

By the way, asterisk does NOT report that /dev/dahdi/transcoder cannot be
opened, so there is no error there.

I can only conclude this is a bug... Anything else I can help to
fast-track the resolve of this issue?

First, if you've purchased a tc400p card, you are entitled to support from
Digium and that is the best place for you to get support for your card
since someone will proactively triage and track your issue for you.

That being said, I do not see where the transcoder is loaded in the dmesg
output above.  Are you sure the wctc4xxp driver is loaded?
