I have exactly the same problem.
The version I am trying to get running now is "Asterisk
SVN-branch-1.6.0-r193121" although I reproduced it on 1.6.0.9 as well.

DAHDI Version: 2.1.0.4

If you don't already, please update to the latest svn rev (4867) of the
gui, I believe this has already been resolved.

The issue was that the GUI was inserting "trunk_1=trunk_1/g1" instead of
"trunk_1=DAHDI/g1" when creating/editing a trunk.
