Summary: Kernel Panic after upgrade to dahdi module
Description:
We used to run Asterisk 1.4.21.1 with slackware kernel 2.6.24 and zaptel
1.4.12.1 without problems
After upgrading to DAHDI Linux 2.1.0.3, DAHDI Tools 2.1.0.2 and kernel
2.6.24 in slackware the server dumps a kernel panic. On this setup the
asterisk process itself does not core dump, it is the kernel core dumping
To avoid hardware problems we decided to change the server from a clone to
a Dell Poweredge 800 running Centos 5.2 with latest updates.
After this change, the same issue still happens. The asterisk process
itself does not core dump, it is the kernel core dumping.
We are not sure that dahdi module is causing this problem, but there is a
great probability because asterisk is not core dumping.
How can I help debug this problem?

thiagarcia, could you please attach a backtrace or photograph of the panic
and also try updating to the trunk of dahdi-linux? Without any more
information my only guess is that your crash might be related to
http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=14183 which recently had a commit in the
trunk for.
