Anyone intimately familiar with the Si3210 and Si3215 proslic.
The code although working well so far, has to have the linefeed register
(Direct Register 64 = 1) set to Forward Active mode before the RNGY RNGX
etc. registers can be set.
If the linefeed register is set for Reverse Active, and then the RNGY RNGX
and others are set, a trianglar 4HZ AC type waveform is generated (not
pulsed DC anymore), causing a phone's ringer to trip at 4HZ.
The application for this is where there are 2 different phones type on the
same line, where one supports LineReversal VMWI, and the other only
supports Neon VMWI.
SVN as of a few days ago supports LineReversal VMWI,
wctdm_neon_support.diff2.txt adds neon support.
Meantime:
FSK MWI is virtually untouched, and is supported in parallel with 'lrev'
and 'neon'.
LineReversal and Neon Generation are mutually exclusive. Would be nice
to support everything.
