Summary:                    [branch] Receiving Text from res_jabber
Description: 
Hello,

So far, chan_gtalk sends text to GTalk clients only. There is no way to
hear input from them which limit us a lot.

It will be awesome if we are able to receive text from GTalk users, to
provide extra services such as:

1) Voice menus. The user can select menus by sending corresponding keys
2) Or, "text" menus by which the chan_gtalk replies by text messages
instead of voice

I am glad that phsultan thought about it, however very disappointed that
it was canceled.

In addition, the registration and such problems would need to be separate
bug reports. Before you do that though, I've seen separate bug reports for
that already open, so please search for an open issue that addresses your
concerns.

This bug report should only be concerned with the jabber related issues.
Other issues are not part of this bug report. It could also be that it
simply is a configuration issue as some things have changed in 1.6 in
regards to SIP. I don't know without more information.

In regards to a backport of this to 1.4, it would be up to the original
author (or someone else) to do that, but this will never go back into 1.4,
and it may be that this application is using portions of 1.6 that do not
exist in 1.4, so may not be trivial to backport.
