Ah, that could very well change things. As far as I understand it, because
of the fact that the sip_peer object is created and destroyed with each
database lookup, we can't actually keep any sort of state information.
However, if you have rtcachefriends=yes set in the general section of
sip.conf, I understand that is supposed to allow us to keep the peer in
memory longer and be able to keep state information properly. Do you have
this setting set in sip.conf?
