Following instructions on http://www.asterisk.org/downloads/yum

Added repos.

[root at localhost~]# yum install asterisk16 asterisk16-configs
asterisk16-voicemail dahdi-linux dahdi-tools libpri

Results in--

--> Finished Dependency Resolution
asterisk16-core-1.6.0.17-1_centos5.i386 from asterisk-current has
depsolving problems

No asterisk installed...
 [ayoung at polar-dev ~]$ rpm --query --all | grep asterisk
 [ NOTHING ]

I should have noted that this came up a few weeks ago when a new package
came out.  I get the same error on another system that already has 1.6...

 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
 You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
                        package-cleanup --dupes
                        rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
The program package-cleanup is found in the yum-utils package.
