Summary:                    [patch] Asterisk runs out of sockets
Description: 
The Parallels engineers have found a bug that takes down asterisk because
the server runs out of sockets, and also it degrades the performance
because over time it takes more and more time for the processor to find an
empty socket. The load on the processor grows over time,

The patch is too old and it fails to work in the current SVN, today
December 8th. Since the patch was posted on 2009-11-06, it has been more
than a month. The SVN code is already too far away from this patch. I
cannot explain why the code has not been added to the main 1.4 tree.
Please, kindly revisit the patch and repost something that can be applied
today.
