Summary: chan_mobile pairs, dials, and receives calls, but no
audio
Description:
I am using Asterisk 1.6.2.0~dfsg~rc1-1 from Debian Squeeze with a custom
compiled chan_mobile.c from the trunk version (svn 209993) supplied as an
attachment to issue https://issues.asterisk.org/view.php?id=16087.
It appears to be a working configuration with no obvious errors, but I get
no audio over the bluetooth link. (I test by calling my cell phone from
the Asterisk console via an IAX provider, with the incoming call going to
an echo test.)
I've attached the Asterisk debugging output (with some IAX debugging
output removed) as well as hcidump -X -V.

Ok, so I've had some more time for testing, and happily, most of my
secondary issues appear unrelated to chan_mobile.
1) Volume levels are fine. The echo test doesn't work because Verizon's
adaptive echo canceler is very effective! What finally tipped me off
(besides ordinary calls sounding fine) was that I could get an echo on
impulsive/clicking sounds, but not my voice.
2) The bad delay only happens at the console, with ALSA. Routing calls to
and from my ATA, the latency is about what you'd expect.
3) I haven't reproduced this crash on non-console calls.
So in summary, it performs quite well. Dialing from an analog telephone
through Asterisk and out chan_mobile, I was told that I sound about the
same as using the cell phone by itself. Nice work!
BTW, my phone is CDMA. I'm sure there are other CDMA phones working with
chan_mobile, but I could not find any definitive report on google. Maybe
this paragraph will help :)
