Summary:                    During call transfer INVITE is sent twice without
waiting for reply.
Description: 
This seems to duplicate bug 9305: Running Asterisk 1.4.21 with RPID patch
(patch 8824) I get exactly the same problem which is addressed by bugID
9305. The code of that bug fix appears inside the source code...

This issue hasn't gotten attention due to the fact that for the incorrect
behavior to actually occur, it requires placing a patch onto Asterisk which
is, at this time, unsupported. The second INVITE you mention is due to the
patch you have applied from issue http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=8824.
