Summary: "State:Idle" when placing outgoing calls
Description:
The state information for a particular phone is updated correctly on
incoming calls ("core show hints" results in "State:Ringing" and
"State:InUse" as it should) but not on outgoing calls (when the user on the
phone calls a different number the state information remains "State:Idle").

Sorry about asking open-ended questions like that without explaining why I
was asking them.

I have found (through experience, not through development) that SIP peers
defined as type=peer work properly for showing their state on outgoing
calls, and that SIP peers defined as type=friend will mostly work for
showing their state on outgoing calls IF limitonpeers=yes is set.
Essentially, the limitonpeers setting is supposed to allow for "friends" to
have the call-limit applied on their outgoing calls too. Please give either
of these options a try and see if they work properly. Thanks!
