Summary: Caller ID displays New User on incoming calls
Description:
On every incoming calls from my VOIP provider, I get "New User" as the
caller id. I know that I could fix it by commenting out a line in the
users.conf file ("fullname = New User" under the General section) but I
rather not manually edit any files since I broke asterisk-gui last time I
did.

Do you have a callerID from the trunk?
You said: "On every incoming calls from my VOIP provider"
you mean from the VoIP provider to the office?
Or from the office -> voip provider -> cell phone/home phone/whatever
