This is very strange... I can get func_odbc working on 1.4 no problem, but
in most recent trunk I can't even get it to return data (without the
patch). Find me on IRC to discuss if you don't mind.

Also, this patch is supposed to let you return data that is longer than
255 chars? And not that the SQL statement is longer than 255 chars?
