Summary:                    [patch] Provide externnotify application with number
of urgent messages
Description: 
Instead of sending the number of new messages and an optional flag if there
are urgent messages, the patch replaces the optional flag with the number
of urgent messages.  This will give external programs additional control
over message notifications.
