Chanspy crashes when spying on a channel. I believe that it crashes on
line: 

res = ast_waitfordigit(chan, waitms);
in function:
static int chanspy_exec(struct ast_channel *chan, void *data)

Sorry, forgot to tell the version: Asterisk 1.2.9.

Hopefully, this bug tracker is still the valid place to search for
solutions for crashes in older Asterisk versions :-).
