Zaptel don't send DTMF tones correctly on FXO lines. For instance when
trying to dial out a number.

Just an extra data point:

I tested on my amd64 workstation a number of zaptel versions. I sent DTMFs
from an FXO port, which is connected by cable to an FXS port. I then
recorded audio in the FXS port.

I use live_ast, and hence ztcfg was always of the same version of the
drivers.

I noticed no real difference in the recorded audio between various
versions.
