This was requested by Alistair Cunningham on the asterisk-dev list. This
was much easier than I thought it would be, requiring only 8 lines of
change to the code.

Hmm, I think that given how simple this patch is, and the fact that both of
our initial tests have shown that it works, I'm going to close this issue.
If it turns out later that there are problems with the functionality, then
either this can be re-opened or a new issue may be opened instead.
