Description: 
Hello,

So far, chan_gtalk sends text to GTalk clients only. There is no way to
hear input from them which limit us a lot.

It will be awesome if we are able to receive text from GTalk users, to
provide extra services such as:

1) Voice menus. The user can select menus by sending corresponding keys
2) Or, "text" menus by which the chan_gtalk replies by text messages
instead of voice

I am glad that phsultan thought about it, however very disappointed that
it was canceled.

blitzrage: I indeed don't plan to add more features here, the ad-hoc
commands feature should definitely be treated in a separate feature
request. So you're right in saying most of the development has been done,
even though jtodd's suggestion needs to be included.

Russell and Jeff Gehlbach posted reviews on the review board that need to
be considered as well.

jtodd: What do you think of making the 'account' parameter optional, so
that when a message comes in, this parameter is checked (only if set)
against the 'to' attribute of the message?
