Description:
This was requested by Alistair Cunningham on the asterisk-dev list. This
was much easier than I thought it would be, requiring only 8 lines of
change to the code.

acunningham: I notice that you are monitoring this issue. Have you used the
patch yet? Has it performed as you expect? If so, then this can easily be
merged into trunk and I can get this issue closed.
