I did not agree that it was a bug; I agreed that it was a feature request,
and as such, not going to be applied (ever) to 1.4.  There was change in
policy preceding the 1.6 release cycle that new features would be welcomed
in 1.6, in point releases.

As to the change being in a developer branch, it appears that either that
developer branch is inactive or has not been applied yet (it may be the
IPv6 developer branch, which is forthcoming, but is not yet merged).  In
any case, feature requests are tracked via the voip-info Wiki, not via the
bugtracker.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone, but we have had a policy of allowing
feature requests to remain open for several days, but if no code is
forthcoming directly, then the issue is closed, and people are referred to
the Wiki.  We do not track branches on the bugtracker for new features,
only for bugs.
