Summary:                    Several deadlocks in skinny
Description: 
mvanbaak brought up a few places where a deadlock is certain to happen, and
I found one more where a lock is just locked again instead of being
unlocked.

I'm not sure how many of these are in 1.4/1.6.0

Patch for 1.4 is almost the same, minus the handle_skinny_show_lines part.
