Summary: Analog trunks dead after gui activate or cli restart
now.
Description:
I'am running asterisk 1.4.19 on a clean install of dedian Etch. (downloaded
and installed on 15 april 2008)
I have a small system (1 TDM400 2xFXO & 2xFXS)
It works fine with outbound call's via FXO.
After making small updates in the Gui and make the activate command some
strange things happen with the outbound call's
Normal working:
dail number -> short wait (3s) -> ring tone -> dialed PSTN nr is
ringing.
After Activate:
dail number -> no wait -> ring tone -> notings happen on PSTN.
Problem also comes after the cli command restart now in exactly the same
way.
After a reboot all is working normal again.
Also a /etc/init.d/asterisk restart is solved the problem.
Additional a putty log during the activate (sorry for the cntr char's).
Wico

You might want to try that patch.
If you reconfigure analog channels, you HAVE to restart the box
(Recommended method).
Make sure you do not have duplicate entries (possibly in users.conf OR
zapata.conf)
It seems that when asterisk first loads, it is fine. But when you "Save
changes" it tries to change some of the analog hardware settings in
users.conf or zapata.conf which could lead to them to some weird
scenarios.
